Firm Introduction

History

Lawrence (Larry) Wilford and James (Jim) Geske formed Wilford & Geske, P.A. in 2003. The firm recognized the need for clients to have knowledgeable representation with attorneys who specialize in representing lenders and default servicers. This specialization ensures that the interests of the client are understood and considered at every stage of the process, whether it’s in the serving of a Notice of Default or within more complicated litigation matters.

Since it’s establishment, the firm has grown to include seven attorneys and 22 staff members.  And today we continue to grow and evolve to best represent our clients’ needs. To that end, Eric Cook, a long time associate with the firm, has taken on an increased leadership role and was added as a shareholder.  The firm is now Wilford, Geske & Cook, P.A. (WGC).

As a non-judicial state, Minnesota’s foreclosure process has a number of strictly-construed, statutory requirements that a servicer must follow to commence/complete a foreclosure proceeding. Our propriety system is tailored to these unique requirements and designed to fully comply with Minnesota procedural requirements for each referral, including the tasks and documentation needed for accurate and timely completion of each step in the process. Our system is integrated with universal translation technology through Net Director which enables communication of information and automation between our system and clients’ systems in a way that is efficient, accurate, and secure.
